What to Wear on St.Patrick's Day

Posted on March 12 2016

It's that month of the year where we get pinched if we don't wear green on the correct day! You know what day I'm referring to, St.Patrick's Day, duh! Many people dread this day simply because they hate the color green! Why should society succumb to wearing one color on a certain day and get punished for not doing so? Despite the lack of love Green gets, it's known for being the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy! (Think of green veggies or superfoods). The meanings of these words are often associated with growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and environment.

All wonderful things if you ask me. Now where did we get the idea to wear green on March 17th? It's said that blue was originally the color associated with the holiday but over time green took over in popularity due to Ireland's nickname as "The Emerald Isle", the green in the Irish flag and the clover that St. Patrick used in his teachings about Catholicism. So there you have it, this is why we wear green! In fashion, green has been said to be a good color option  to command power, whether at a work meeting or trying to convince someone to see your side of the story. What do we say to this? Command the day on March 17th with an amazing outfit! (Also, don't get pinched). Below you'll find some cute pieces to buy for St.Patrick's day! Happy shopping!
