Happy Saturday my favorite Azzura Caprians!
Today's topic is all about the texture takeover that happened all last season and is still going strong.
If you follow the buzz on fashion trends, you'd know that chunky knits, cable knits, and box stitches were all over the runway last NY fashion week.
Amazing designs such as Phillip Lim created a two-toned knit sweater, Derek Lam made a fringe turtle neck sweater, and Michael Kors released a dip-dyed aran sweater.
These knits each have a similarity that they are each unique and textured.
Here are common style sweaters we've seen to be both stylish and timeless:
Knits are the most obvious type of fabric you would think of when it comes to the colder seasons. You may only imagine it being used a sweater or pair of gloves. This year it's taken it to the evolved form of knit two-sies, knit dresses, knit skirts, even knit lingerie. The fabric has been seen both loose-relaxed and snug-fit. It gives off a delicate and cozy feel when rocking knit on your body.
Fringe comes and goes from the decades and we've never seen it come back so strong as it has now. Whether it's in tassels, knits, or leather form. This creates movement on the clothes and mimics that of a care-free soul.
Literally, "bearing" it. These are the coats that make it seem like you're wearing a bear's costume. This is the quintessential statement item in the colder seasons. They bring snuggling and cuddling to your mind. However, it also brings elegance and glam or sophistication that of a princess or queen. Wearing all monochrome colors and a pop of a teddy bear coat in the hues of cobalt or maroon can bring a magical feel to your look.
Talking about the textured sweater trend just wouldn't be complete without showing you guys some of the prettiest ones we've picked out! Don't forget to take advantage of our 15% discount with the code: JAN15 at checkout before this month ends. <3
